
The 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, under the command of Brigadier General J. A. Ifeanyi, successfully hosted the 2025 West African Social Activities (WASA) at the Brigade Football Field, Owena Cantonment

The annual event, which marks the successful completion of training and operational activities, brought together officers, soldiers, their families, security agencies, and community representatives.

WASA provides a platform for relaxation, camaraderie, and civil–military engagement in a secure environment.

The 2025 edition featured cultural dances, musical performances, children’s competitions, and tug-of-war events, highlighting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and reinforcing unity among participants.

Outstanding officers and soldiers were recognized for their performance during the year, receiving awards and commendations from Brigade leadership.

In his remarks, Brigadier General Ifeanyi acknowledged the support of the State Government, security agencies, and the community, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in maintaining peace and security.

The event concluded with the lighting of the WASA bonfire, symbolizing unity, renewal, and continued cooperation between the Nigerian Army, its personnel, and the host community.
