The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors and leadership have raised serious allegations regarding the recently concluded Edo and Ondo State gubernatorial elections.

In Ondo, the PDP criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for what they described as widespread irregularities, vote-buying, and manipulation. They alleged that these practices led to the victory of Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who won with over 72% of the votes.

Similarly, in Edo, PDP officials claimed that the APC’s victory under Senator Monday Okpebholo involved collusion with INEC and other actors to manipulate the results. They expressed dissatisfaction with the process, arguing that it misrepresented the true will of the people.

Both elections have prompted PDP leaders to call for judicial review and accountability from INEC to ensure adherence to democratic standards.
