In a move aimed at strengthening security collaboration across Ondo and Ekiti States, the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 17, AIG Ajani Musibau Omolabi, psc(+), paid a courtesy visit to the Deji of Akure, His Royal Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, on Monday, April 15, 2024. The visit was part of the AIG’s familiarization tour following his recent appointment as Zonal Commander.

During the visit, AIG Ajani introduced himself to the monarch and emphasized the need for active cooperation between traditional institutions and law enforcement agencies in tackling rising security challenges. He pledged to be a proactive and community-focused officer, committed to reducing crime and ensuring peace in the region.
The Deji of Akure, in his response, welcomed the AIG and commended his visit as timely and commendable. He assured the police of his full support, noting that the palace remains open for collaboration. The engagement reflects growing efforts to foster community-police partnerships in addressing insecurity nationwide.
