Notice of Market and Shop Closures for Aheregbe Festival
The Palace of the Deji & Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom informs all residents of Akure and surrounding areas that markets and shops will be closed on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in celebration of the annual Aheregbe Festival.
This closure is a vital part of the festival’s long-standing traditions. Therefore, no markets, trading, or shop operations will be permitted on this day.
We kindly ask all residents, market vendors, and shop owners to comply with this directive.
Please note that only pharmacy shops will remain open to ensure continued access to essential health services.
The festival will not affect human or vehicular movement.
