Deji Apoints Olu Adekunle Ajanaku as Ulefunta Festival Chairman
The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, CFR, has reappointed the Olu of Okelisa Titun, Olu Adekunle Ajanaku (fsi+, ksm, DIS-Rtd), as Chairman of the Ulefunta Festival Planning Committee for 2026.
The reappointment, conveyed in a letter dated 27th October, 2025 and personally signed by the Monarch, acknowledges Olu Ajanaku’s outstanding performance as Chairman during the 2022 and 2023 editions of the festival.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Deji, Adeyeye Michael, Oba Aladetoyinbo commended Olu Ajanaku for his dedication and innovative leadership, expressing confidence that he will further elevate the festival to greater heights.
Olu Ajanaku, a seasoned administrator and retired DSS Director, previously introduced several developmental initiatives, including the Owa-Oropo Marathon, Entrepreneurship and Scholarship Scheme, Ulefunta Cooperative, Library Project, and Palace Upgrading Committee.
The Monarch urged him to see the reappointment as a renewed call to serve Akure Kingdom and continue promoting its cultural and developmental growth.
