The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) announced that it generated a record-breaking revenue of N6.105 trillion in 2024, marking a 90.4% increase from the N3.2 trillion collected in 2023.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, highlighted the service’s impressive performance and revealed that the 2024 revenue exceeded its target of N5.07 trillion by 22%.

Adeniyi attributed the achievement to enhanced trade facilitation and improved revenue collection strategies. He noted that October 2024 stood out as the highest-earning month, with a remittance of N603 billion.

“The Nigeria Customs Service recorded an unprecedented performance in 2024, generating N6.105 trillion. This exceeds our 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22%,” the CGC stated.

This milestone underscores the NCS’s growing efficiency in revenue generation and trade regulation, reflecting its commitment
