The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, today graciously welcomed the newly appointed Brigade Commander of the 32 Artillery, Akure, Brigadier General Justin Ifeanyi, at his royal palace.
The Brigade Commander’s visit was centered around seeking the royal blessings and prayers of the revered monarch, a tradition that highlights the strong relationship between the military and the royal institution.
During the visit, Brigadier General Ifeanyi was warmly received by the Deji in-Council, including the newly installed Iralepo of Isikan.
The gathering also saw the presence of notable dignitaries such as the former Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Olu of Okelisa Titun, Olu Adekunle Ajanaku.
The occasion was marked by an exchange of goodwill, with discussions focused on strengthening the bond between the military and the traditional leadership of Akure, and fostering peace and development within the kingdom.
The Deji of Akure, in his address, expressed his full support for the new Brigade Commander, offering prayers for a successful tenure and continued collaboration between the monarchy and the Nigerian Army.
