The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Land, Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, CFR, will begin his annual Ulefunta leave on Monday, 15th September 2025. The leave will last for seven days, ending on Sunday, 21st September 2025.
During this period:
- Beating of drums under any guise within Akure metropolis is strictly prohibited.
- The road leading to the Deji’s Palace will be closed to traffic. Commuters are advised to make use of alternative routes.
- Markets, shops, and stalls around the Deji’s Palace will remain closed throughout the Ulefunta period.
Residents are urged to comply with these directives while going about their normal activities without fear. The Deji will use the period of seclusion to pray for the peace and progress of Akure Land.
