A tense drama unfolded in the Senate on Thursday, February 20, when Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central erupted in a heated exchange after discovering her seat had been moved without her consent.
The incident occurred during a plenary session presided over by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, when Chief Whip Senator Mohammed Ali Monguno raised a point of order regarding Natasha’s seating arrangement. As Monguno spoke, Natasha interrupted, demanding an explanation for the change.

“Why was my seat moved without my consent?” Natasha challenged, refusing to back down.
The altercation quickly escalated, prompting Akpabio to order the Sergeant-at-Arms to escort Natasha out of the plenary. However, Natasha stood firm, defiantly declaring, “I am not afraid of you, and I will not be silenced.”
She also accused Akpabio of sidelining her, alleging she had been denied opportunities to present bills for a second reading since their last confrontation.
Efforts to restore order proved difficult, with tensions rising. The situation was finally brought under control when the public address system was switched off, allowing the session to continue.
