The EFCC clarified that Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan) was arrested for failing to respond to multiple invitations regarding alleged financial offenses. His arrest in Abuja last Friday sparked protests, with claims linking a new generation bank to the incident.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, stated that VDM ignored several invitations despite being contacted through known channels. He emphasized that the arrest was based on serious financial allegations, not personal attacks against the Commission.
VDM has been granted administrative bail and will be released once he meets the conditions. The EFCC reassured the public that charges will follow once the investigation is complete.
