Construction expert Adepeju Sanusi has called for the adoption of modular homes in Nigeria, describing them as a smart, permanent solution to the country’s growing housing deficit.
She noted that traditional building methods are too costly and slow to meet rising demand.
Sanusi, a researcher at The Catholic University of America, urged policymakers and developers to support modular housing, update regulations, and promote local manufacturing.
She emphasized that modular homes are durable, customizable, energy-efficient, and meet standard building codes, making them a viable, long-term option for Nigerians.
