
Ogun State Governor and Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed his condolences to the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and the people of Ondo over the passing of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Tayo Oluwatuyi.
Oluwatuyi tragically passed away on Saturday due to injuries sustained in a road accident while traveling from Akure to Ibadan on December 17.
In a condolence letter, Governor Abiodun described the late Oluwatuyi as a dedicated public servant, a skilled professional, and a remarkable individual whose contributions to Ondo State were profound.
“I am deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Tayo Oluwatuyi’s demise,” Abiodun said. “He was a brilliant administrator and an exemplary politician who played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the political class and civil service. His contributions will not be forgotten.”

Abiodun noted that Oluwatuyi’s death was a significant loss, not only to the Ondo State government but also to the entire Southern region. He urged the deceased’s family, friends, and colleagues to find solace in the impactful life he led.
“On behalf of the Southern Governors, I sympathize with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the people of Ondo State during this difficult time. May God grant his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant his soul eternal rest,” Abiodun concluded.
Oluwatuyi’s passing has left a void in the Ondo State government, with many mourning his legacy of service and dedication.
