Speaking at the 2025 first working day prayer meeting held at the Governor’s Office, Akure, Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the state’s progress in 2024, despite facing significant challenges, including the passing of his predecessor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and the ensuing political tensions.

“Despite these difficulties, God restored peace and tranquillity in our state, for which we are immensely thankful,” he said.

The governor credited robust security measures, including the Amotekun Corps, for maintaining Ondo State’s status as one of Nigeria’s safest states and a prime destination for investment.

Looking ahead, Aiyedatiwa unveiled his administration’s new policy framework, OUR EASE, which prioritizes security, urban and rural development, technological progress, efficient healthcare, sustainable agriculture, and education.

“We will operate an inclusive, open, and accountable administration, ensuring our policies directly benefit the people,” he assured.

The governor announced plans for a retreat with top government officials to align their efforts with the administration’s goals. “Public expectations are high, and we are determined to meet them through actionable strategies,” he added.Bayo Philips, Head of Service, lauded Aiyedatiwa’s dedication to civil servants’ welfare, emphasizing its positive impact on their morale and productivity. Achievements in recruitment and efforts to plug financial leakages were also acknowledged.
