New Subscription Rates for DStv, GOtv Unveiled as MultiChoice Increases Prices

MultiChoice Nigeria has announced an increase in subscription prices for its DStv and GOtv packages, effective March 1, 2025. This adjustment comes nearly a year after the last price review. The company cites rising operational costs, including currency depreciation and high inflation, as the primary reasons for the hike.

In a statement titled “Price adjustments for DStv and GOtv packages,” MultiChoice addressed its customers:

“Dear Customer, please note that effective 1 March 2025, there will be a price adjustment on all DStv packages. This is to enable us to continue to offer our customers world-class homegrown and international content, delivered through the best technology.”



New DStv Prices:

Premium: From ā‚¦37,000 to ā‚¦44,500

Compact Plus: From ā‚¦25,000 to ā‚¦30,000

Compact: From ā‚¦15,700 to ā‚¦19,000

Confam: Now ā‚¦11,000

Yanga: Now ā‚¦6,000

Padi: Now ā‚¦4,400


New GOtv Prices:

Supa Plus: Now ā‚¦16,800

Supa: Now ā‚¦11,400

Max: Now ā‚¦8,500

Jolli: Now ā‚¦5,800

Jinja: Now ā‚¦3,900

Smallie: Now ā‚¦1,900


MultiChoice acknowledges the impact of this change on its subscribers and assures that the decision was made after careful consideration and in-depth analysis of economic factors affecting the industry.

Subscribers are encouraged to adjust their payment plans accordingly ahead of the March 1 implementation date.
