General Requirements
To join the Nigerian Army, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Nigerian citizens by birth or descent only.
- Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 26 years old.
- Education: A Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent with at least five credits, including Mathematics and English.
- Height: Male applicants must be at least 1.68 meters tall; females must be at least 1.62 meters.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must be in good physical, medical, and psychological condition.
- Clean Criminal Record: No criminal convictions are allowed.11
