A total of 604 personnel have completed an intensive six-month Special Forces training programme under the Nigerian Army’s Exercise Restore Hope initiative.
Conducted at the Military Training Centre in Kachia, Kaduna State, the programme was designed to equip soldiers with advanced capabilities to address modern security challenges across Nigeria.
The comprehensive training covered both combat and strategic skills, preparing participants to tackle a range of scenarios using both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches.
During the graduation ceremony on Tuesday, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede represented by Maj.-Gen. Mayirenso Saraso commended the soldiers for their resilience and professionalism.
He highlighted that the participants were drawn from different Army units and had undergone rigorous preparation in areas such as precision targeting, weapon handling, and tactical decision-making.
Oluyede stated that the Special Forces would soon be deployed to key operational zones, where their enhanced skills are expected to significantly boost mission success rates and contribute to strengthening national security.
