Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has praised the founding fathers and past leaders of the State, saying their sacrifices laid the foundation for Ondo’s development over the last 50 years
Speaking at the Ondo @50 World Press Conference in Akure, the Governor described the Golden Jubilee as a moment to reflect on the past, assess the present and plan for the future.
He paid tribute to Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ayo Fasanmi, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, Basorun Seinde Arogbofa and other leaders, while acknowledging the contributions of successive military and civilian administrations
Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted progress in education, healthcare, infrastructure and agriculture, and reaffirmed his commitment to people-centred development under the OUR EASE agenda
He said approved projects, including a refinery, fertiliser and petrochemical plant, as well as plans for a seaport and improved power supply, will drive economic growth in the coming years.
