Ondo APC Leaders Hold First Governor’s Advisory Council Meeting

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Saturday hosted the maiden meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) in Akure. The council, made up of top party elders, was created to advise the governor on governance and strengthen the ruling party in Ondo State. Chief Pius Akinyelure chairs the council, with Hon. Isaac Kekemeke serving as secretary.

The closed-door session focused on state development, party unity, and preparations for the 2027 elections. Leaders at the meeting commended the governor’s inclusive leadership style and commitment to accommodating all members, regardless of past political differences. They also reaffirmed that the governor remains the leader of the party in the state

Resolutions from the meeting included stabilising the government-party relationship, discouraging divisive activities by support groups, and promoting wider consultation with stakeholders. Members expressed satisfaction with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s performance and pledged to work together for the growth of both the state and the APC
