The Ondo State chapter of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) has suspended its planned strike following the intervention of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The union had issued a seven-day ultimatum demanding the implementation of the Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS), which had yet to be adopted in the state. Speaking to the press in Akure, PASAN Chairperson Mrs. Hellen Olorunfemi confirmed the governor granted immediate approval for the salary structure and directed relevant officials to begin the implementation process without delay.

Olorunfemi expressed relief, noting that Ondo was the last South-West state to adopt CONLESS. She praised Governor Aiyedatiwa, Speaker of the State Assembly Olamide Oladiji, and other stakeholders for their support in resolving the issue.

With the Accountant General’s office already acting on the directive, PASAN has officially called off the planned industrial action, acknowledging the collaborative effort that led to the peaceful resolution.
