The Ondo State Police Command has arrested four suspected kidnappers linked to the January 26 attack on Liberty Avenue, Ilu-Abo, which left John Ofuduwa dead and saw Oladeinde Tomilola abducted. Tomilola later identified the suspects.

The arrests Abdullahi Ismaila (20), Babanyara Japi (25), Babuga Abubakar (25), and Adama Usman (15) were made in a hotel behind Ado Garage, Akure, during an intelligence-led operation in collaboration with Amotekun Corps. N1.4 million, believed to be ransom, was recovered.
Investigations revealed the suspects admitted membership in a criminal syndicate operating in Eleyowo, Ilu-Abo, and Ogbese. The police confirmed ongoing efforts to track other syndicate members and link them to previous kidnappings.
The command urged residents to provide timely information to aid crime prevention and reiterated its commitment to collaborating with security agencies to keep Ondo State safe.
