Former Caretaker Chairman of People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Osun State chapter, Dr. Adekunle Akindele, has urged the people of Ondo State to remain resolute and stand their ground as they insists to change the ineffective ruling Party in the State. He made this statement at his hometown, Ilutitun Osooro, in Okitipupa LG, on Sunday evening when he hosted Ilutitun 1, 2 and 3 Wards Meeting.
“Aiyedatiwa is an accidental Governor. He has lost touch with realities and doesn’t even know what to do with the government he’s leading. Imagine being Governor for eleven months and the major road connecting four of the six local governments in your senatorial district, the Ore- Okitipupa-Irele-Ese-Odo Rd is as bad and better called a death trap. Has he not been plying the road? And we have a Commissioner for Commerce who has done absolutely nothing about the deplorable state of Okitipupa Oil Palm Company in our backyard. Obviously, you can’t give what you don’t have” he said.
“The entire State is prepped to vote our candidate, Barr. Agboola Ajayi because they know he is capable of leading the State back to the right path. Everyone knows the level of poverty in the land cannot be sustained. It is a time bomb and only Agboola Ajayi is capable of defusing it. They won’t want to give up easily and accept defeat. But be prepared to stand resolute and defend your votes. The minority cannot intimidate the majority. Victory is certain.” he said at a packed venue.
“We have provided funds for each of the 3 Wards and the leaders have also been mobilized too. Be rest assured, whatever is needed for this final run in will be provided by us. We will support this move for a better Ondo State.” he added while giving out food items and mobilization funds.
Dr. Akindele also went on to visit selected leaders of the Party within the local government namely Chief Ibini Former State Secretary of the Party, Chief Kuma Adekanmi Lisa of Idepe Kingdom and some notable leaders. The visits afforded him the opportunity of getting first hand information and continue his strategic planning to ensure Okitipupa local government is retaken by the PDP.
