Osogbo – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has cautioned its members against engaging in actions capable of causing divisions within the party. The party’s leadership, in a statement issued on Friday, stressed the need for unity as it prepares for critical political activities in the state.
The statement, signed by the Osun APC Publicity Secretary, Kola Olabisi, highlighted the dangers of divisive politics, urging members to prioritize collective success over personal ambitions. The party reminded its members that their unity is essential for achieving victory in future elections.
“We appeal to all party members to refrain from making inflammatory statements or engaging in activities that could harm our party’s image or disrupt internal cohesion,” the statement read.
The party leadership also hinted at taking disciplinary actions against members whose actions jeopardize the party’s interest. “We will not hesitate to invoke the party’s constitution to sanction individuals whose conduct threatens the progress of the APC in Osun State,” Olabisi added.
The APC urged its members to channel their energy toward rebuilding the party’s structures and enhancing voter confidence ahead of the next election cycle.
Political observers have noted that the warning comes amid internal wrangling within the Osun APC, as some factions push for greater recognition of their interests.
The party’s leadership, however, reassured members that their grievances would be addressed through established channels. “We are committed to resolving any internal issues amicably to ensure that the APC remains the party of choice for the people of Osun,” the statement concluded.
The APC’s call for unity comes as political campaigns and strategic planning gain momentum ahead of the next general elections.
