The Ondo State Ministry of Infrastructure, Lands and Housing wishes to inform the general public, especially motorists, that the Ilesha–Akure–Owo Expressway will be temporarily closed for five (5) days — from Tuesday, October 7th to Saturday, October 11th, 2025.
This closure is necessary to facilitate the casting and placement of pre-stressed beams on the ongoing Onyearugbulem/Shagari Flyover Project.
Adequate traffic management measures have been arranged to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the period. Diversions will be clearly marked at:
The Roadblock Intersection (en route Oba Adesida Road), and
Agbogbo Junction (en route Fiwasaye–Oba Adesida Road).
We sincerely regret any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and appeal for your patience and cooperation as we continue to improve road infrastructure across the state.
