Three people have died in two separate road accidents in Ondo State within the past 48 hours.
In Ute, Ose LGA, a woman and her child were crushed to death by a grader reportedly owned by the local government. The machine, working on a road project, suffered brake failure. Police have launched an investigation, and the local council has vowed to address the mechanical fault.

In another incident in Akure, a tricycle operator died in a crash involving a truck along Ijoka Road. The victim was returning from church with his wife and child when he swerved to avoid a pothole and collided with the truck. His wife and child survived with minor injuries.
