An Akure Magistrate Court has remanded two commercial motorcyclists, Tope Ademeso and Igbekele Akinsioye, for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in the Continental area of Akure.
They were arrested by Amotekun operatives and arraigned on two counts of conspiracy and rape. Prosecutors sought their remand pending DPP advice, while their lawyer argued it was a consensual act turned payment dispute.
Magistrate Damilola Sekoni ordered their remand and adjourned the case to September 1, 2025, for ruling on bail.
