Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have decisively repelled an ISWAP attack on a Forward Operating Base in Mairari during the night of 12–13 December 2025.
The terrorists attempted to breach the base using two VBIEDs, both of which were detected and destroyed by alert troops. Several terrorists were neutralised, while others fled with casualties.
Following the failed attack, OPHK troops conducted exploitation operations, recovering arms, ammunition, communication equipment, motorcycles, and other terrorist logistics abandoned during their retreat.
There was no breach of the FOB, underscoring the vigilance, professionalism, and combat readiness of the troops. Aggressive patrols are ongoing to prevent further attacks and reassure local communities.
Operation HADIN KAI remains resolute in defeating terrorism and restoring lasting peace in the North East.
