About BINTA Fashion

Founded by Olorunfemi Joshua Akuruyejo, BINTA Fashion is a global ready-to-wear brand rooted in West African heritage textiles including adire, ankara and aso-oke, operating under the tagline “Wear Your Heritage Everywhere.”

The brand was established in Warsaw, Poland on May 25, 2025, with a mission to make African heritage fashion accessible to Africans and fashion lovers across Europe.

All BINTA pieces are produced in Nigeria by the founder’s family; seasoned fashion designers whose craft spans decades, combining authentic raw materials with a global vision.

In its first year of operation, BINTA Fashion has dressed customers in Poland, Nigeria, Ireland and Germany, appeared on four runways, been featured in two publications, and presented at multiple academic and cultural conferences across Poland.

Founder’s Statement

“I started BINTA one year ago in Warsaw with zero experience, a bolt of fabric and a dream to make African heritage wearable everywhere. To stand in front of the NFF Chairman today, on behalf of the Nigerian community in Poland, and to hear him say the Ministry of Culture should be aware of this initiative. I could not have written a better first chapter. This is bigger than fashion. This is about what Nigerians in the diaspora are building every day, quietly and with purpose.”
