Ibadan, Nigeria – June 2026
Medikia Finance, a Nigerian health-fintech startup building AI-powered financial infrastructure for healthcare providers, has officially launched the beta version of its platform, marking a significant step toward solving healthcare financing and banking challenges across Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem.

The platform was publicly unveiled during a Pharmalliance healthcare stakeholders meeting in Ibadan, where pharmacists, healthcare business owners, and industry stakeholders were introduced to Medikia’s suite of financial products designed specifically for healthcare providers.
Founded by Adebamijo Adebiyi, Medikia Finance was created to address a challenge commonly experienced by healthcare businesses across Nigeria: access to financial services that understand healthcare cashflow cycles.

Many pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and healthcare distributors face difficulties accessing working capital, managing supplier payments, processing collections, and obtaining financing that reflects the realities of healthcare operations. Traditional financial products often fail to account for delayed reimbursements, inventory cycles, and the need for continuous access to medicines and medical supplies.
Over the last several months, the company has invested more than ₦12 million in product development, regulatory preparation, infrastructure, design, testing, and healthcare market research.

Ahead of launch, Medikia Finance engaged healthcare stakeholders across multiple communities and has built an early interest pipeline of more than 300 healthcare providers, including pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and medical laboratories interested in the platform’s services.
The beta platform currently offers:
• Business Banking Services
• Collections and Payment Infrastructure
• Invoice Financing (Medifi)
• Healthcare Credit Financing (MedCred)
• Payroll Services
• AI-Powered Healthcare Credit Scoring
According to the company, its AI-driven credit intelligence engine is designed to assess healthcare businesses using operational and financial performance indicators, helping healthcare providers build progressive credit profiles that may improve access to financing over time.
Speaking on the launch, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Adebamijo Adebiyi, said:
“Healthcare providers play a critical role in delivering care to millions of Nigerians, yet many operate with limited access to financial tools built around their realities. Medikia Finance was created to provide infrastructure that helps healthcare businesses access banking, financing, and operational tools that support sustainable growth.”
The launch follows a series of recent milestones for the company.
Earlier this year, Medikia Finance was selected among the Top 10 Finalists of the Bet9ja Foundation ScaleUp Business Accelerator 2.0, a business growth programme supporting high-potential Nigerian startups and small businesses.
The company has also secured participation at Web Summit Lisbon 2026, one of the world’s largest technology conferences, where it plans to showcase its vision for healthcare-focused financial infrastructure to global investors, partners, and technology stakeholders.

Adebiyi noted that while these recognitions provide validation for the company’s direction, the primary focus remains building solutions that address the day-to-day financial challenges experienced by healthcare providers.
“We believe healthcare businesses deserve financial infrastructure built specifically for them. Our goal is to help healthcare providers improve cashflow management, access financing more efficiently, strengthen operational resilience, and ultimately serve more patients.”
Following its beta launch, the company plans to expand onboarding activities, strengthen strategic partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem, and continue refining its AI-powered credit infrastructure based on feedback from early users.
