The National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), Ondo State Chapter, today inaugurated its newly elected executives at a colorful swearing-in ceremony held at Traveller Homely, Alagbaka GRA, Akure.
The event attracted prominent stakeholders, including representatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Police Force, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), members of the NANTA National Executive Council, the NANTA Western Zone Executive Council, and representatives of leading travel agencies across the region.
While celebrating the emergence of a new leadership team, NANTA used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to professionalism, consumer protection, and travel safety.
In their addresses, national and zonal leaders expressed concern over the increasing activities of unlicensed travel operators and pilgrimage scammers who continue to defraud unsuspecting travelers.
The association urged members of the public to exercise caution when making travel arrangements and to patronize only registered and verified NANTA members. According to the leadership, engaging accredited travel professionals remains the safest way to access legitimate travel services and avoid financial losses resulting from fraudulent schemes.
The newly inaugurated executives pledged to uphold the values of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and excellence while working to strengthen the travel and tourism industry in Ondo State.
The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter for the NANTA Ondo State Chapter, with a renewed focus on industry growth, stakeholder collaboration, and the protection of travelers across the state and beyond.
